2021 Carlston Family Foundation
After missing the 2020 event due to the pandemic, the Carlston Family Foundation was back in person for the 18th Annual Outstanding Teachers of America Awards. This was an even more significant occasion because my father, and executive director for the last 14 years, Tim Allen, is retiring. Being able to work directly with him for such a great organization has been a fantastic experience for me. I’ve been able to see his contributions to the world of education from the inside and am proud of the work and legacy he has built on behalf of the teaching community. The Foundation and Teachers asked me to put together a short video to present to him at the event.
